This presentation reflects the same as my critical investigation will be as i will be assessing straight out of Compton and how media outlets in the UK and US represented it.In a good way or bad way.The point was to see why and how can they as the movie had no problems at theatres and the film broke box office records.The film should of been celebrated not looked at why any bad things did not happened.They need to stereotyping other way the stereotyping is going to get carried on for many more years.The same way black people in america stereotype the police officers to be racist and very violent towards them.

Summer Project Research
The video was posted up on the very popular site for new music, funny vines compilation and what going on in the world.some say its the ghetto version of YouTube as its audiences are very much black teenagers or in their 20's or older. The video title was CNN Surprised "Straight Outta Compton" Didn't Cause Violence, Earned Record Money Instead! the video was to shame cnn and hear peoples views in the comments.The video saw the host present the segment as a surprise as its a black movie covered guns and violence and is surprised that did not leas to any violence outside the theater. Story was there to represent unusual story headline a black film covered in guns and violence didn't lead to chaos.That what the news is there for to present story's to the audience that they might feel shocked about or feel good about or even bad.So what is so shocking about 20,000 theater screening the same film and there being no violence.

I read article stating that the film earned 56 million on the opening weekend a record for rated R movie.Also police were patrolling every single one of the theaters around the US so there couldn't be any trouble. But universal released a statement saying that they told any police to have high security at any of the theaters. CNN are trying to say that the film had no violence but long lines and if there weren't no security there would be trouble.The host also said that police chiefs order police officers and even other civilians not to watch the film as it brings negativity back into the communities and that the film might bring back the whole Fuck the police phrase.
Then i found out that it was just precaution as there were theatre shooting in Louisiana and Colorado as the double digit of people died as there were shootings at the screening of Train Wreck and Dark Knight Rises in 2012.So they did not want a repeat of those times.
The comment section of this video was reasonable most said the same thing as why would they cause trouble over a hip hop movie who show what happened a long time ago and some of the viewers weren't even alive.So cnn should be more mature and reasonable.One comment stood and got the most likes as the user said that CNN are surprised why the viewers never caused trouble because the two other screening were done by white kids and than this one would be worse but it wasn't. Another one was they were expecting violence because majority of the viewers are black and a bunch of black people watching white cops abuse black people for no reason would make us violent but we embraced.So was it really worth breaking news like that on a national news segment or is that the world we living in where we are surprised not see violence.

Straight Outta Compton premiered on August 10, 2015 at the entertainment complex LA Live in Los Angeles, California. An earlier report by L.A. Weekly noted that the LAPD was "beefing up its presence" for the event and The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that organizers had "tripled security" for the red-carpet premiere. Due to concerns surrounding the violent content depicted in the film, it was reported that movie theaters were hiring extra security during the film's opening weekend and Universal Studios would be "reimbursing" theaters for the cost of adding that security. Universal would later state that the studio was not reimbursing theaters for extra security, but would be "partnering" with theaters seeking "support" during screenings of the film. No major incidents were reported at showings of the film during its opening weekend. Some critics say it was because of the extra security at some theaters, others argued that it shows the extra security was unnecessary.

We’re now watching a movie about their lives and so it’s obvious that they found success. They formed the group N.W.A. (with stands for Niggaz Wit Attitudes), helped create a record label, and released their first album in 1988. The lyrics were considered too violent and profane and so they received no radio or television coverage. Even MTV refused to play their music videos. The controversy only helped boost their notoriety. They became an underground sensation through word-of-mouth and it wasn’t long before they’d sold 3 million copies of their debut album.

- The story is based on the question why there was no violence at the cinema and then the turned to the factors such as the police being there and the police telling most people not to go watch to keep the cities safe.So the heroes is the police and villains seems to be the viewers of the film who everyone was gone do something bad.the whole purpose of the news segment should be the narrative of the film,firstly , as the film is representing the life's of the god fathers of rap.They made the first real gangster rap song ,the first real gangster rap that went platinum is a matter of weeks and toured the US over that album.Instead the story of the news is that there was no violence at the film being shown in the theatres.
- The genre is news and its representing urban movies and stereotyping.They are a typical news station showing pictures having a host and a guest.the film is r rated movie and is the highest selling and most watched in the first week.The host is good for her job but i believe the producers have gave her the segment and are talking to her through her ear piece and she is reading her notes that were giving to her.My critical is based on the fact that urban black movies are underrated and stereotyped.
Media Values and Ideology
- The hypodermic needle was put into a lot of viewers as the host telling the story is someone who has high authority and a very famous presenter.The media values shown are society views on blacks being violent towards the police due to its stories in the passed on police abusing and killing innocent black people.
- The audience of the news segment were majority of middle class and high class whit people AB and the story is reflecting on C1C2DEF. Also the colour comes into as rap and hip hop was originally made in Brooklyn and by back males who used to be in gangs and so the fans and people who want to know or watch the nwa story are mostly black.

Why are black urban movies underrated and stereotype?
CNN ran a segment on Monday reporting that there wasn't violence at movie theatres during the opening weekend of the hip-hop oriented film Straight Outta Compton.
CNN host Ashleigh Banfield reported, “Some movie theatres were worried about violence when Straight Outta Compton hit the screen. Instead, it only led to longer lines, ticket lines and some big money, too.”
Introduce the presentation and ask the question of do cnn love to stereotype and if they do, what do they get out of it. Introduce the storyline and settings of the news reported names.
Long lines-tickets lines but no criminal activities. Instead of congratulating the show and how well its has done in the opening weekend it tries to focus on why the negatives never happened.
She sounds disappointed and so introduces the special guest(a law enforcement officer) who she asks why there weren't no altercation.makes the excuse that there were high security levels at all the theatres.
She then goes on to the fact that police organisation have told members of the police force and even beyond members not to go see the film because of the message it sends out.Of the whole fuk the police campaign and how the film represents police brutality in the late 80's and early 90's
This then resulting in the LA riots which is included in the film.
the phrase fuck the police is a disgrace to the guest who says the police risks their lives for the civilians and so the civilians to throw it back in there face by saying this is sad
